– Platform shoes = chopines shoes in 16th century Venice, in Spain (first picture) and in Europe in general.
– Rolled hair = macaroni men in England.
– Madonna’s pointy bra = bullet bras after the 2nd world war.
– Pencil skirt = hobble skirt, tied around the knees or the ankles.
– Padded shoulders = bombasted (padded, filled) sleeves under Elizaebth 1st.
– McQueen’s futuristic looks in Spring/Summer 2010 = Renaissance culottes.
