American football quarterback Eugene Cyril “Geno” Smith III was born on October 10, 1990. He now plays for the Seattle Seahawks of the NFL. Before being selected by the New York Jets in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft, he played college football at West Virginia, where he led the Mountaineers to three bowl victories, set numerous passing records, and won numerous trophies. Smith was the starting quarterback for the Jets for two seasons, but he was eventually benched when he suffered two injuries in his final two years there. After that, he spent time as a backup quarterback with the New York Giants, the Los Angeles Chargers, and the Seattle Seahawks before making a surprise comeback as the team’s starting quarterback in 2022.
