Today’s weather forecast indicates severe thunderstorms resulting in localised flooding and damage to settlements and property is expected over the Free State, eastern and northern parts of the Northern Cape and the North West, excluding the north-eastern parts. Similar stormy conditions are also expected over Gauteng, southern and eastern Limpopo, Highveld and the escarpment of Mpumalanga as well as western and southern parts of KwaZulu-Natal, including central parts of the Eastern Cape. Orange level 5 warning of disruptive rainfall leading to bridges, roads and settlements flooding is expected over the eastern parts of the Eastern Cape and the south-western parts of KwaZulu-Natal (credit: Vox weather).
